History
Freeport Industrial and Mechanical, with
its roots in the 1970's, was organized to meet the demands of the industrial
and commercial construction and maintenance industry along the Gulf Coast. Today,
as a general contractor, Freeport Industrial and their associates are
"total concept contractors"; capable of performing engineering to
start-up, foundation to final turnover and maintenance.
Construction Expertise
Our Construction expertise includes foundation construction, structural steel
erection, pipe fabrication & installation, equipment installation,
contract maintenance, plant site development, road construction &
maintenance, demolition, equipment maintenance & repair, general building
design & construction and pre-engineered buildings.
Experience
Our experience is apparent in that Freeport Industrial & Mechanical and
our associates maintain an average volume of $5.5 million of work each year.
When you consider that a significant portion of these contracts were for labor
and equipment only, we are actually responsible for a much larger volume of
work than the project numbers indicate.
Qualifications
Our qualified permanent construction staff and experienced job supervisors are
directly responsible for the success of construction services. We have
approximately 15 key personnel with over 10 to 35 years of experience in the
commercial and industrial construction industry.
Quality
Quality services and products are not automatic and quality will not be
imposed on a construction operation. Thus, the management policy of Freeport
Industrial & Mechanical is to plan, implement, provide the necessary
leadership and resources and enforce a responsible program for quality control
and continuous improvement. Our mission is to safely provide quality products
and services that meet or exceed the expectations of our customer in a
cost-effective and socially responsible manner.
Committed To A Safe Work Environment
Safety is a top priority and an official policy of Freeport Industrial &
Mechanical. Safety is a key factor of a cost effective operation because there
exists a direct link between a safe and healthy work environment and quality,
productivity and employee morale. We make safety a daily emphasis so that,
eventually, safety becomes a routine cause of action.
Moreover, job supervisors are responsible for implementing the Safety Program
and we expect each employee to obey and comply with ALL safety standards as
well as to be aware of his entire work area. This team effort has produced an
excellent safety record for Freeport Industrial & Mechanical.
The key components of our safety program are:
· Pre-employment safety orientation
· A safety procedures manual
· Weekly safety meetings on all levels
· Investigation of all accidents and incidents
· Weekly jobsite and equipment inspections
· Pre-employment, post-accident, post-incident, random and due cause drug
screening
· OSHA, HAZWOPER, HAZCOM, CPR, first aid, and defensive driving training
